Italian school of the end of the XVIIth century, follower of Bartolomeo Ammannati (1511-1590)
The slave
Bronze with brown patina
H. 17 cm
Small accidents
This elegant little bronze is probably a reduction or a project for a fountain element. It is particularly close to the figures surrounding the Neptune fountain erected between 1563 and 1565 in the Piazza della Signoria in Florence by the Tuscan sculptor Bartolomeo Ammannati.
