Alexandre Golovine was noticed as the master of theatrical decoration in Russia. He created sets that were considered masterpieces during his lifetime, such as Carmen at the Imperial Theater, Rimsky Korsakow's operas, Mozart's Don Juan and Strauss' Electra.
