First edition of this important work initially conceived as a history of European exploration and settlement throughout the world, and took the form of a vigorous denunciation of colonial activity, and in particular of slavery. Volume 7 entitled "Tableau de l'Europe" was published in 1774 in Amsterdam and closes the work. Good general condition.
