[Herbarium] - Hippolyte Jaubert (1798-1874) - Botanist, founder of the Botanical Society of France, member of the Academy of Sciences. Important herbarium consisting of 42 folders, containing plants and algae mounted on leaves, with identification labels and very often accompanied by black and colored engravings annotated in ink. Five handwritten catalogs (Burman catalog, Lollinger collection, Gardner collection, Funcke collection, Bourgeau collection), one volume of Stephan Endlicher's "Flora Brasiliensis" (Myrtaceae). These plants were collected during different expeditions. The names of famous botanists such as Lepeletier, Vieillard, Le Jolis, Durieu, Lamare-Picquot, Mandon, Gardner etc., are noted on several identification labels. Most of the plants and algae are well preserved despite their fragility. Beautiful and rare botanical collection.
