France, 17th century Chalice veil with the Virgin Mary in metallic embroidery of gold threads, gold canetille, silver blade in relief on rope and gold cordonet for the surrounds and the scrolls. The frame of the central cartouche is made of a rare tangle of two cartisanes: gold threads wound on a strip of parchment or cardboard. Height: 67 cm Width: 63 cm.
