Slightly under life size marble torso of Venus, mainly following the Medici type in the Uffizii. The figure is nude, the left hand covering her pubis. The right arm, which is now lost, was raised higher than in Medici version and probably not protecting the breast but raised to hold up a strand of hair. The statue had been probably supported by a small figure of Eros riding on a dolphin, as some traces at the left limb show. Roman Imperial Period, 1st century A.D. Some traces of fire, fragmentary.
