The top of the cane represents a standing figure decorated with long scarifications engraved in arcs of a circle and giving rhythm to the sculpture. The face is concave, typical of the styles of this region.
Ebony, which is rarely carved traditionally, could nevertheless be carved by the Fang (Bulu) of Cameroon and Gabon.
