Fragmentary bust of a handsome figure, with face and arms scarified with fine engraved lines, representing a man in a classic posture of the great Djenne arts: the head of the figure resting quietly on his crossed arms, which were placed on his legs, sitting on his knees, which were folded. Djénné culture, Mali, 20th to 13th centuries approximately Terracotta, visible accidents and missing parts, restoration to the neck (broken and glued), beautiful earthen engobe from excavation.
