CÔTE D'IVOIRE / IVORY COAST Baoule pulley bracket, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire Wood with a glossy brown patina, black pigments Height : 16,5cm / 6 1/2" Baoule pulley stirrup surmounted by a face, a series of notches detailing the features and decoration of the jamb. The wooden scroll spool takes the shape of a corozo nut, often used for this purpose. Probably second half of the twentieth century. A display stand will be included with the lot.
