Fine state pendulum "Gaston Jolly à Paris".
Fire-gilt bronze in the form of four hoofed feet with side busts of women, floral tendrils, snake and floral finial. Dark patinated bronze case. White enamel dial (dam.) with black Roman as well as Arabic numerals, sign. "Gaston Jolly à Paris", sawn hands. On oval base made of alabaster (l. dam.) with ball feet. Pendulum movement with thread suspension and striking on bell (not running, fully wound). Paris, c. 1800-1820. 55x 24x 22 cm. Jolly became a master clockmaker in Paris from 1784, died there in 1820.
