Unknown painter (Italy, late 18th c.)
"The Adoration" or Rite of the Eucharist, during which the bishop kneeling in front of the altar by the appearance of the luminous monstrance puts his tiara to the ground. Oil/wd. (rest., doubled). 64x 49 cm. R. (20th c.). On stretcher a loose attribution to Tiepolo (Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, 1696 Venice - Madrid 1770) and inscription "Adoration of St. Alphonsus", which, however, could not be confirmed so far. With regard to the form and color design, the location in the late Roman or Florentine Baroque is more likely.
