Crucifix-reliquary
MOSAN ART, 16TH, 17TH AND 19TH CENTURY
Ebony and blackened wood, with twelve phylacteries, the two side ones containing painted miniatures embellished with gold, one in the centre housing the Virgin and child in polychrome wood, and ten reliquaries behind rock crystal cabochons (17th century). On the cross (19th century) is a gilt bronze Christ, head bent and hair falling over the right shoulder, short, knotted perizonium missing the side fabric (14th century)
