Piece of furniture with two bodies and Provençal withdrawal richly inlaid H. 222 ; W. 171 ; D. 55,8 cm Provenance : Italian private collection It will be reproduced and described in the volume II of the book " Le génie des Hache ", P. et F. Rouge, Faton 2005, to be published soon by Éditions Faton. Opening with four leaves and two drawers and resting on five blackened wood ball feet. Very richly inlaid with vases with gadroons, draperies and mantling, pedestals, naturalistic and stylized flowers, green tinted foliage, birds, butterflies, dragonflies and foliage scrolls, masks of men, on a walnut background, in reserves with large walnut fillets in front. Friezes of mantling and dice in dark and light wood on the cornice of the front, on the sides and on the edge of the molding of the recess. Sides decorated with reserves in the form of hearts, rectangles, circles and cartouches in olive burl on a walnut background. Interior fir box with three drawers inlaid with olive tree cartouches on a walnut background. Locks of doors in trilobed iron, trilobed iron plates and engraved. Its four original keys. Thomas HACHE (Toulouse 1664 - Grenoble 1747), Toulouse, Aix-en-Provence or Chambéry, around 1690. Sides slightly reduced in depth (having led to the reduction of the drawers). Some cracks in the front. A keyhole and a ball foot are missing.
