Bust portrait of a prefect in full regalia, under the Restoration or at the beginning of the July Monarchy, he wears the officer's cross of the order of the Legion of Honor, the cross and the plaque of dignitary of the order of Charles III of Spain and the officer's cross of the order of the Two Sicilies of the First Empire. Oil on oval canvas; on the back, a note specifies: "PRÉFET DE L'ARIÈGE"; gilded frame; 73 x 59,5 cm. (Small accident). First third of the XIXth century. Good condition. This character probably had, during the First Empire, a civil or military function in the Kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies, and also a diplomatic or officer function, during the Spanish War, in 1823.
