Bracket Clock Howell & James with Westminster chime England, 19th c., Clock ring with Roman hours and Roman minutes, marked ''Howell & James Ltd./to the Queen/London'', applied with openwork tendril movement on polished brass plate, in the round arch 1x pointer field for stopping the striking movement and 1x for changing Westminster or strike to 8 bells, the plate not marked, pendulum on spring suspension, striking mechanism with 8 bells and 1 mainspring, magnificent bracket case made of mahogany with corner columns as well as gilded bronze applications of cone crowns, flower vases, shell ornaments, leaf friezes and the side panels with figural latticework in round arches, HxWxD: 65/39/27 cm. Not tested for function. Front door with light chipping, dial/dials and crowning rubbed.
