Beautiful funerary figure (mingqi) of a court lady in a kneeling position, her head bent forward, her crossed and belted dress falling on her knees, with white slip and remains of polychromy. The hands, which were probably made of wood, are missing. CHINA, Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). H: 44 cm (probable restorations, some slight accidents). Provenance : former personal collection of Mr Bellet, expert in archaeology and Asian art in Paris. Acquired directly from his daughter
