DELFT ø Two large statuettes of marquis standing on a circular base with polychrome decoration, the first dressed in a green suit and holding a basket of fruit and the other dressed in a suit with a purple background of manganese; the bases are painted in imitation of marble. Marked HVH and HVH 2 on the reverse. Manufacture of Hendrik van HOORN. Second half of the 18th century. Heights : 27 and 27,5 cm One arm and one leg restored for the other one (with green suit). One leg restored and small lacks for one (with manganese costume). Former collection Jules DESURMONT (bear a label). A similar model is kept in the Museum of Art in The Hague, inv. 0400926.
