Elizabethan bed. Spain, mid-19th century. Carved wood and rosewood veneer. Measurements: 123 x 227 x 139 cm. The bed presents a design of sober and refined lines, which fits in with the Elizabethan forms developed in Spain in the middle of the 19th century. Four pilasters with smooth shafts and tall bases mark the four corners of the bed, topped at the top with undulating decorations. The short sides of the bed have a simple, rectilinear finial. The long sides of the bed are elegantly decorated with vegetal forms.
