Pair of Louis XV armchairs. France, ca. 1750.
Walnut wood.
Measurements: 90 x 53 x 64 cm.
Pair of Louis XV armchairs with structure in walnut wood delicately carved, forming a game of sinuous and organic lines, of soft aspect typical of the rococo. It is decorated with carved vegetal motifs on its waist, knees and crest. Each of the armchairs is supported by four cabriole legs. The backrest, a cartouche with a sinuous profile, is decorated with a profusely carved crest. The upholstery is nailed all along its profile.
