In-4 garnet morocco, spine ribbed, gilt title, beautiful mosaic composition on the first cover with the author's name "Poe" in mosaic Art Nouveau letters in dark brown marble with floral and vegetal decoration, orange morocco lining with gilt filleting, burgundy silk endpapers, gilt covers and spines, in a slipcase with edges (G. Cretté, successor of Marius Michel).
Illustrations by Louis LEGRAND, including 15 hors texte.
Small limited edition of 115 copies; n°16 of the 50 first copies printed for the Members of the Société des Amis des Livres, with the outlines in two states and enriched here with a beautiful monogrammed ORIGINAL DRAWING by Louis Legrand in watercolor for an illustration (The oval portrait). Superb !
