Although a first version of the Ranchero was launched in 1958, it was shunned by the public, particularly in Spanish-speaking countries. Intended to be the entry-level model in the 30 mm collection, it was inspired by the Railmaster model.
In 1976, the general agent Ultimo of Brussels will ask the Swiss manufacture to produce a model "first price" intended to promote the Seamaster collection. It is thus a rare model.
A similar model appears in the Omega Museum in
Biel under the reference 8186 (page 486).
