Pair of Art-Nouveau decanters VAL SAINT LAMBERT / ORIVIT. Belgium/Germany, ca. 1910. Cameo and Orivit blown glass. Pair of decanters for wine service made of blown glass in the manufacture of Val Saint Lambert, in glass with carved vegetal decorations in green and purple. With Orivit silver-plated pewter cases. Orivit was a German metallurgical company that manufactured luxury and everyday Art Nouveau items at the beginning of the 20th century. The product group identified by the name 'Orivit' included 'Stamped and cast luxury and everyday objects made of pewter, copper, brass, white metal or other suitable metal, unwrought, wholly or partially gilded, silvered or also assembled with glass, crystal or porcelain, Marks and numbering on the reverse. Published in "Etains 1900" by Philippe Dahhan, Editions de l'Amateur. Provenance: Spanish private collection, formed between 1970 and 2010. Missing a small pull on one of the covers. Good condition. Normal wear and tear due to use and the passage of time. Measurements: 18.5 cm (height) x 7.5 cm (largest diameter).
