Yellow gold bracelet with links and chased heart... Lot 27

Yellow gold bracelet with links and chased heart opening decorated with a garnet. Dated May 11, 1849 with the initials J.R. for Juliette Récamier. In its box. Jewel having belonged to Juliette Récamier and transmitted by descent by Marie Joséphine Amélie CYVOCT (1806-1893), niece and adoptive daughter of Mrs Récamier. Exhibited at the Historical Museum of Lyon from December 15, 1977 to February 28, 1978 during the exhibition commemorating the bicentenary of the birth of Juliette Récamier. Page 50 of the exhibition catalog presents the bracelet as follows: "Gold bracelet in the form of a chain to which is attached a heart decorated with a ruby. In the inner cavity are blond hairs. On the inside of the bracelet, the heirs of Madame Recamier had the inscription engraved after her death: JR 11 May 1849.
