PERPIGNAN OR BEZIERS CIRCA 1690 - 1710
Small silver pepper shaker, the edge godronnée in recall on the lid with bayonet. The repercé is articulated around a decoration of stars, rhombuses and drops. The catch is a seed in the shape of a spinning top.
Master goldsmith : Pierre III VALETTE, received master in BEZIERS in 1684 - leaves for PERPIGNAN after 1687 where he practises until 1710
Weight : 98 g - height : 11 cm
Mark : only the mark of master goldsmith appears on this saupoudroir: P. VALETTE who is not listed with the "P" of his first name in the THUILE. We think that it is probably the hallmark that he registered when he arrived in PERPIGNAN.
