A WATER LEVEL, ITALY CIRCA 1880
The water level is based on the principle of communicating vessels, it è consists of two glasses placed at either end in communication with each other by means of a communicating tube, where they were filled with water. This spirit level was used with aim for mobile purposes and for distances not exceeding thirty meters, with an error of about 3 cm.
