Reproduced full page in the book "Statuaire Babembe", this protective statue represents a male figure standing on a pedestal holding a cane in his right hand and a knife in his left hand. The patina testifies to its repeated use over time, a hole under the buttocks allowed the introduction of the bilongo (load).
19th century.
