MAESTRO DELLE MONTAGNE AZZURRE (active in Venice in the second half of the 18th century) Pastoral Landscape Oil on canvas, cm 53X83 Traditionally attributed to the Correr Master of Landscapes, the canvas shows the illustrative features that seem to confirm the reference, however, the group of works traced back to the anonymous, also called Master of the Blue Mountains, is often heterogeneous and not always consistent. It is likely that this production can be traced back to a single workshop in which several masters were active and dedicated to producing works of a decorative nature, and that depending on the client, differences in quality and authorship exist.
