Large porcelain dish with blue and white decoration of a central bouquet, Japan, Arita kilns, 17th centuryDecorated
in blue enamel underglaze in a central medallion of a woven basket containing a bouquet of cherry blossom branches, around the center a band decorated with the three friends of winter: pine trees, bamboo and plum trees. The border is decorated with scrolls and kiri (paulownia) flowers. The back is decorated with leaves and botanical buds (peonies). Numerous pearls on the bottom of the dish characteristic of the productions of Arita in the 17th century.
