Superb large dagger of venerie mid XVIIIth century. Total length : 765 mm. of which 610 mm. of blade. Flat blade 50 mm wide. Counter-edge at the third. Partially visible engraving of the traditional motifs of the weapons of this time (armed arm, semi of stars, crescent of moon and false Arabic letters. Weapon mounted with flat sole, two black horn plates. Asymmetrical pommel. Inlay of stars and oval patterns on the plates (missing). Short quillons opposed in silver 925/1000e punched. No scabbard. Condition 1- (traces of sharpening on the blade).
