Bernadette Chabert was born in 1958 in Grenoble. The works of this artist have been noticed throughout France, with sales all over the country, including a record sale in Grenoble ("Vase de fleurs"), several sales at the very prestigious Hôtel des ventes Drouot in Paris in the Néret-Minet room, and even sales in Nouméa in New Caledonia. But his works have also been sold abroad, notably in Oxford in the United Kingdom but also across the Atlantic. His paintings can be admired in the United States: a landscape from Isère ("L'Eglise de la Terasse en Isère") is exhibited at the United Nations headquarters in New York, as well as a work entitled "Child of India" at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., in connection with the reduction of the indebtedness of developing countries.
