Xavier ALVAREZ, (XXth), "Connivence". Bronze with brown shaded patina, numbered (4/8) and signed on the terrace. Dimensions: 52x35cm. (Lost wax). A certificate will be given to the buyer. Xavier Alvarez was born in Paris in 1949. He started to sculpt steel for several years. After this severe discipline of metal work, he became passionate about another material: BRONZE and set up an art foundry in Touraine. After a period of abstract sculptures, his creation is oriented towards full and generous forms, in curve and roundness. The sculptures are created in fine plaster. On these originals, a matrix is then executed from which will be drawn the wax proof. The artist retouches it himself, thus guaranteeing the fidelity of the reproduction. Cast in bronze, each work, trimmed, chiseled, polished and patinated by hand, is carefully examined before receiving the numbering and signature of the artist. Sculptures in private collections in France, England, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and USA.
