"Marcel André Henri Félix PETIOT, known as Doctor Petiot (alias Wetterwald François, Docteur Eugène and Captain Henri Valery), (Auxerre 1897-1946) French doctor, criminal and politician, convicted of murder after the discovery of the remains of 27 people in his Paris home, and guillotined on May 25, 1946 in Paris.
Handwritten order signed in 1937, with a long letterhead listing the many specialties of the sinister doctor whose macabre practice, equipped with a gas oven, many instruments of torture and a supply of quicklime, saw innocent patients disappear.
The special issue of the newspaper ""Paris-Jour, procès d'hier et d'aujourd'hui"" devoted to the Petiot Affair (24 illustrated pages, reprinted 1977) is attached."
