One folded plate and numerous woodcut illustrations in the text. Nice typography. On verso of last leaf the printer's emblem with the legend 'nescit labi virtus'. Enc. in period parchment, marbled and with a restoration on the spine. On the first flyleaf there is a handwritten annotation in Italian stating that this is a highly prized edition for the correctness of the text and the careful study on the author, which increased by far the notes of the previous edition of 1544. There is also an ownership notation of 1835. Brunet V 1327, says that it is a beautiful edition and very correct.
