CARNOT, Lazare. [Reports, declarations, opinions]. 1792-1804. 16 plates, mainly published by the Imprimerie Nationale, bound in Bradel style, black morocco title-piece, long title. In a burgundy half-percaline folder, the whole in an elegant marbled fawn half-calf case, revolutionary pastiche spine.
Magnificent set.
Some pieces bear an annotation (by Lazare? such as Gouvernement héréditaire, 1804), or the autograph signature of the Organizer of the Victory ("carnot" at the Fête de la Reconnaissance et des victoires, 1796) and are often enriched with other opuscules, as well as autograph notes of the colonel, on free paper.
