Rare Russian porcelain plate from the service for the Tsar's yacht ''Derzhava'', Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg, 1871-1873, mark Tsar Alexanter II, The court architect Ippolit Monigetti (1819-1878) designed a uniform decorative scheme for the interiors of the imperial yacht Derzhava, which was completed in 1866 for Emperor Alexander II. Derzhava is the Russian word for orb and in this case refers to the imperial orb that appears in one of the medallions.
