In addition to the rose, the begonia is a flower that we readily associate with lovers. Symbol of peace and love, they bloom here in the meticulous vase that Bernard Buffet depicts in 1977. The very soft colors of the composition stand out in the often more contrasted ensemble to which the artist is accustomed. The line is supple, the notes delicate, creating a very harmonious whole. Bernard Buffet enlivens the whole by paying particular attention to the decoration, placing a doily under the vase, itself decorated with small painted flowers. The bouquet is installed in a suave orange scenography, which highlights the very colorful floral composition.
