An elegant Russian silver-gilt and engraving tea set in style "japonais". Comprising teapot, creamer, sugar, sugar tongs, tea scoop, lemon fork, strainer and twelve teaspoons. In the Aesthetic Movement taste, flaring square form, finely chased motif of gold plated band-work, birds, insects and flowering branches, monogrammed. Makers mark of Peter Ambrosimov. Moscow, 1899-1908. Height of the pot: 14.5 cm. Total weight: 1683 g.
