In 1925, Antonin Artaud and Roger Vitrac created the Alfred-Jarry Theater after their split with André Breton's Surrealist group
.
Together they produced a booklet-manifesto composed of nine photomontages by Eli Lotar from silhouettes of Antonin Artaud, Roger Vitrac and the actress Josette Lusson.
