Probably a pupil of Niccolò Cassana, the painter moved at a young age to Venice, where he was influenced by the production of Federico Benchovic, Giovanni Battista Piazzetta, and Giambattista Tiepolo. It is possible that this painting belongs to an early prodution of the artist, characterized by deep atmospheres and strong chiaroscuro; this tendency would soon give way to larger, airy and luminous compositions. Oil on dusting paper applied on board, size 50x45x10 cm.
