With 7-line description in his own hand, signed and dated below. 1972. sheet dimensions: 29.7 x 20.5 cm. Johann Korec (1937-2008), one of the best-known Gugging artists, was in psychiatric treatment since 1958 and began to work artistically already in the 1960s at the suggestion of Leo Navratil. His main motifs include lovers and erotic scenes, in which he always takes on the male part himself. Here he imagines himself on a honeymoon "to Yugoslav borders" together with his wife the "Bozek Hedwig" and the "daughter Elisabeth". A similar work is in the Hannah Rieger Collection, Vienna. Other works by Korec are in the Setagaya Museum in Tokyo, the FROH(N)BERG Collection or the Helmut Zambo Collection, among others. - Mounted on cardboard in the corners on the verso, very good condition.
