Portrait Ferdinand VII - King of Spain, Spanish Master, c. 1800, In oval 4,3 x 3,1 cm, gouache on ivory. Half profile, in red uniform with high collar and white neck ribbon. Narrow gilded metal frame. Mounted in additional decorative frame. Permission to sell ivory object is available. It was not until 1814 that Napoleon reinstated Ferdinand as King of Spain; his reign was characterized by absolutist rule.
