Bibliography: to be compared with the work of the same geometrical spirit and the same date reproduced on p. 149 of Gachnang, 1988 edition.
In 1961, Chaissac executed geometric and abstract compositions in gouache to exhibit at the Iris Clert Gallery in Paris. The artist succeeds "The exhibition of the void" by Yves Klein in 1958 and "The exhibition of the full" by Arman in 1960.
His stylistic research brought Chaissac to a more stripped down and constructed manner, bringing him closer to the compositions of Klee or Herbin.
The same year the Nantes museum exhibited Chaissac for the first time with Edouard Pignon.
