THE NETHERLANDS, CORK Set of four boxes of changer Wooden, 140 x 85 x 30mm of Mousset of Liege, the lid bears an inscription LEGRAND, NOTre. including 15 weights and a trebuchet whose strings are missing, two almost complete vignettes "le louis a la croix de malthe Se pese avec le poids Louis LL le demi mirliton pese precisement autant que le florin d'or" and "Mousset ingenieur mecanicien, au pont de Torent à liège, invente et execute machines et instruments de phisique mathematiques et autres arts et sciences". With three other exchange boxes, two of which would be of French manufacture from the early 19th century with vignettes "Table de monnaies d'or et d'argent qui ont cours dans les différens Etats de l'Europe, avec la désignation de leurs poids". Worn, one with a cracked cover and a missing clasp, some without vignette or incomplete vignette and all incomplete at the level of the weights, beautiful to very beautiful. (4)
