LUMIERE AUGUSTE: (1862-1954) French Pioneer Filmmaker, along with his brother Louis. A very fine A.L.S., A.Lumiere, two pages, 8vo, on his printed heading letter of 262, Cours Gambetta, Lyon, 4th January 1934, to a General, in French. Auguste Lumiere thanks his correspondent for his book forwarded to him via the librarian and sends his best regards to relatives, further stating in part `Permettez-moi de vous rappeler, mon cher Général, que mes modestes services restent toujours a votre entire disposition au cas où ils pourraient vous être de quelque utilité´ (''Allow me to remind you, my dear General, that my modest services always remain at your entire disposal in case they could be of any use to you.'')
