Considered by many critics as the best drama by Hugo. Zola applauded Hugo´s work, his verses and language, but criticized the message and background´s philosophy and message sent to youth. Jeanne Julie Regnault (1854-1941) known as Julia Bartet. French stage Actress. Bartet performed the Queen´s role at the Comédie Française in May 1880.
