Maurice DELAGE Lot n° 13

(1879-1961). 3 autograph MUSICAL MANUSCRITS, one signed, Hommage à Roussel, 1929; 4, 6 and 11 oblong pages in-fol. Three successive versions of this melody for voice, flute, piano and string quartet, in homage to Albert Roussel, for the special issue of La Revue Musicale devoted to Albert ROUSSEL (April 1929). On a poem by René Chalupt : " Roussel Marin favorisé "..., it is marked Larghetto. Manuscript of first draft, for voice, flute and piano, in pencil (and some notes in ink), with erasures and corrections. Version with flute, piano and string quartet, in pencil with some passages in ink. Cleaned up in ink, signed at the end and dated : " Auteuil 31 mars 1929 ". Annotated in blue pencil, it was used as a conductor for a concert. Attached is an offprint edition of La Revue Musicale, bearing orchestration indications and some autograph corrections (8 p. in-8, SACEM stamp of April 5, 1950); and a beautiful photograph of Delage (24 x 18 cm).
