2 autograph MUSICAL MANUSCRIPTS, one signed, Deux Fables de La Fontaine, 1931; 4 and 9 oblong pages in-fol. (plus title for the 2nd). Two successive versions of these two melodies for song and piano. Composed in 1931 on two famous fables: I Le Corbeau et le Renard, and II La Cigale et la Fourmi, they were published only in 1948 by Durand. Delage realized a version with a small instrumental ensemble, which was premiered on March 16, 1949 at the Salle Érard by Anne Laloë and an orchestra conducted by André Girard. Sketches in pencil, with erasures and corrections, on a bifeuillet. Cleaned up manuscript, in ink, with corrections and annotations in pencil. It is preceded by a title page. I Le Corbeau et le Renard, marked Allegretto, is signed and dated at the end : " Auteuil 20 juin 1931 " ; II La Cigale et la Fourmi, marked Andantino, is signed, dated and dedicated at the end : " Auteuil 24 Mai 1931. à Nelly chérie " (it is the wife of the composer) ; on the last page, pencil sketches of some measures for La Cigale et la Fourmi. 2 other autograph music manuscripts (4 oblong pages in-fol. each on a bifeuillet) are attached: - Bateau ivre (piece for orchestra from 1954, inspired by Rimbaud), here in parcel, of which one and a half pages in ink, the rest sketched in pencil; - about twenty Spanish themes (Copla bailable de Leon, Granadina, Malagueña, Passacalle de Valencia, etc.). Former collection of Georges VAN PARYS (autograph folder, with 2 amateur photos of Maurice and Nelly Delage).
