Beta Cloth Apollo XI : with Apollo XI mission logo signed by the crew in a 30 X 30 cm frame.
- Beta Cloth is a type of flame retardant silica fiber fabric used in the manufacture of the Apollo/Skylab A7L spacesuits. Beta fabric is made of finely woven silica fibers, similar to fiberglass. The resulting material does not burn and only melts at temperatures above 650°C (1200°F). To reduce its tendency to wrinkle or tear during handling, and to increase durability, the fibers are coated with Teflon.
