[Fine Arts: 20th & 21st century part II] Five prints: (1) Karel Maes (1900-1974). "Abstract composition" Linocut on silver paper, 19.2 x 15.5 cm, (1922), monogrammed in the block.
A bit creased, but a good copy. Proof of the linocut for the deluxe edition of Het Overzicht, no. 17, September 1923, p. 91. (2) André Lhote (1885-1962). 'Lyre & Palette. 2eme exposition'. Woodcut, 23.5 x 16.5 cm, monogrammed in the block, verso with stamped "epreuve" in blue ink. Some marginal tears and creases. Proof for the cover-illustration of the catalogue of the 2nd exhibition of the group Lyre et Palette, 1917. (3-5) Theo van Rijsselberghe (1862-1926). 'La Libre Esthétique'. Three proofs of the same woodcut vignette, 8.5 x 10 cm, (1894), printed in red (1x) and in black (2x), all on different kinds of paper, the copy in red together with another vignette of La Libre Esthétique on the same leaf.
