Italianate landscape. 18th c Drawing, ink and grey wash, 28,5 x 41 cm, laid paper (Churchill 433, similar to Heawood 73 or 86), unsigned (repaired tear at left margin, occ. min. stains). Idyllic view of a classical garden with overgrown antique ruins and a stone garden vase, in the distance one can discern cypress trees and a large mountain range.
